Squatwolf, Dubai. 2020 to 2021
Shipping labels for Squatwolf, from 8½ minutes to 45 seconds
I owned Squatwolf’s in-house order processing and inventory system. I joined WooCommerce and five shipping carriers into one fulfilment pipeline, so paid orders turn into shipping labels in bulk, with the heavy lifting on background workers.

How labels got fast
The problem
Eight and a half minutes per label
Squatwolf sells through WooCommerce, and every paid order needs a shipping label, and creating one took 8 minutes 32 seconds on average.
Fix one
Five carriers, one pipeline
I integrated Aramex, DHL, EasyPost, EliteCourier and FedEx into the order processing system I owned, and joined them with WooCommerce into a single fulfilment pipeline.
Fix two
The heavy lifting, in the background
Label jobs go onto AWS SQS and run on Laravel Horizon workers backed by Redis, with Supervisord keeping them running. Paid orders are queued and their labels are created in bulk, instead of one by one.
The result
45 seconds a label
The average time to create a label dropped to 45 seconds, 91% faster.
Under load
The biggest sale it carried
Squatwolf’s 7-day Birthday Sale went from $1.7M to $4.8M, up 182% on 2020, and every order shipped through the order and label module I built.
